The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Rantoul was called to order at 7:30pm at the Village Hall of Potter by Chairman Mertz.  He verified that meeting notices were posted on August 31, 2011.

Motion by Jannette, second by Eickert to approve the August meeting minutes as printed; motion carried.  Motion by Eickert, second by Jannette to accept the Treasurer’s report of Checking account balance of $6,280.01 and Money Market account balance of $159,682.95; motion carried.

David Dhein, town assessor, was present.

The equalized values report from the State was reviewed.

The Hilbert First Responders annual meeting will be held in September.  No date has been set.  Jannette will attend.

CountyPlanninghas recommended that the Town review the Growth Management Map (density map) and make changes to reflect the Smart Growth Map changes.  This matter will be referred to Wes Hedrich, Plan Commission chairman.

An Employee Grievance Procedure was reviewed.  This will be taken up at the October 3, 2011, Town Board meeting.

A letter from Katherine M. Reynolds, Town’s attorney, was received reviewing the Town of Rantoul Zoning Ordinance draft.  This letter will be forwarded to Wes Hedrich, Plan Commission chairman.

The Wisconsin Towns Association’s annual convention will be held in Green Bay on October 23-26, 2011.  Mertz and Schwartz will be attending.

The next road maintenance meeting will be called as needed.

Bills totaling $66,739.93 were presented.  Motion by Eickert, second by Jannette to approve the bills as presented; motion carried.  An itemized list follows.
