April 2010 Plan Commission Meeting
Apr 27, 2010

The regular meeting of the Town of Rantoul Plan Commission was called
to order at 7:00 pm by Wes Hedrich.  He verified that meeting notices
were posted on April 22, 2010.

Motion by Gregg Eickert, second by David Jannette to accept the agenda
as posted; motion carried.

Motion by Eugene Mertz, second by Dennis Hintz to approve the June 15,
2009, minutes as printed; motion carried.

The Calumet County Zoning Ordinance was reviewed.  Various contacts
were made with Madison, including Bob Ziegelbauer, State Assembly
Representative and Keith Foye, DATCP, with questions regarding
zoning.

Discussion was held on town zoning, county zoning or no zoning.  A
list of what ordinances have to be followed even if the town has no
zoning needs to be drawn up.  Mary Kohrell, UW Extension, will be
contacted for this.

An informational meeting with the Town of Brillion will be held at the
Town of Brillion town hall in Forest Junction on May 5, 2010, at
7:30pm.  Information concerning this meeting will be posted, placed on
the town’s website and published.   

With no further business, motion by David Jannette, second by Marion
Kasper to adjourn; motion carried.
